Jammu and Kashmir more free than all of Pakistan

In a damning indictment of Islamabad's "propaganda" about Jammu and Kashmir, a new report says the Indian-administered part of the state is "more free" than all of Pakistan, whose support of the "freedom struggle" in the Himalayan state has "little justification".

The "Freedom in the World-2007" report of the US-based Freedom House "totally dismisses the global propaganda war orchestrated by Pakistan against India on the issue of Kashmir," the NGO said.

"Comparisons of the ratings show up the 'freedom struggle' launched by separatists in Jammu and Kashmir as having little justification and Pakistan's posturing as being hypocritical considering how poorly Pakistan itself is rated," it added.

As usual, CPI(M) champions of equality were whining about "separation of authorities of the three arms of the State (Executive, Legislative and Judiciary)". This is classic act of confusing the people, when you don't have enough armour to defend the controversial law in question. Also they were careful enough not to be held in contempt of the court.

Probably they think that politicians are more than equal (from the standard commies formula: All are equal, some are more than equal) and executive arm can bend and twist the arm of legislative and to the extent of twisting the 3rd arm as well. They may probably know this, if not let's remind them. There is something called a constituitional framework which can't be broken even by the executive.
