SC trashes Union notification on foreigners
From the news:
The Supreme Court on Tuesday struck down as unconstitutional a Central government notification that says a complainant must prove that the accused person is of foreign origin.
A bench comprising Justices S B Sinha and Markandeya Katju also directed the Union government to constitute sufficient number of tribunals to detect alleged infiltration of thousands of Bangladeshis into Assam.

Thank God, we've a Supreme Court in our country.
There appears to be no intention of the Govt. in solving the illegal immigration/infiltration problems. When people are normally scared of filing complaints with authorities on such issues, it makes it worse when the authority puts the onus on the complainant to prove that the accused person was of foreign origin. It just pushes the honest citizens away from taking up issues. After all the good Governance as taught by Chanakya is only if you involve honest and participating citizens.
