Buta Singh resigns as Bihar governor
It's a shame if he didn't. Still he took the R-Day salute before announcing his decision. IMO it is a shame on the custodians of the Republic for retaining such individuals in the esteemed position even after the judment from the highest court.
But after the judgement he said he wouldn't resign and also took credit for running a fair election in Bihar. May be he thought people didn't know that it was the Election commission responsible for the fair and free election. But he was responsible for the loss of tax-payers money in forcing the re-elections.
On a side note the honorable PM said "we must respect the SC ruling". How - by letting the Governor take the R-dat salute ??
