Is the national song Vande Maatharam secular ?
Vande Maatharam is the national song of India. (Not national Anthem though )
But one rarely gets the opportunity to hear the entire song, usually it is stopped after the first two verses. (Including the A R Rahman's version) May be it is not considered secular by the secular infrastructure of India, as he sees the mother nation as the divine Goddess and calls her Durga, Lakshmi and Vaani.
